Who is eligible for the Unexplained cardiac death registry?
Patients who have had a cardiac arrest
Those who have had a sudden cardiac arrest and received treatment at an institution participating in the Unexplained cardiac death project will be included in the registry unless they choose not to participate.
The following criteria must be met for a patient to be included:
- sudden cardiac arrest that occurred out of hospital
- aged 1–50 years.
Participation is voluntary and you can leave the registry at any time (see research participant rights) without affecting the treatment or care provided to you.
Related family members
Family members are invited to attend cardiac arrest services and will be included in the Unexplained cardiac death project registry, unless they choose not to participate.
