Unlocking the genetics of sudden cardiac arrest
The research team will collect blood samples from people who have had a cardiac arrest. This will allow the research team to make new discoveries beyond the known genetic conditions using the latest genetic techniques such as whole genome sequencing.
Who can provide genetic samples to our genetic biobank?
- Blood samples will be taken from consenting survivors of sudden cardiac arrest.
- Blood samples from individuals who do not survive will also be included, if their relatives provide consent.
